Sweet Nostalgia Album

Hoje trazemos-lhe um novo tutorial de um mini álbum que funciona também como livro de receitas, feito com a colecção Nostalgia da My Mind's Eye. Ele fica especialmente delicioso se servir para coleccionar receitas de doces!

Today we bring you a new mini album tutorial that works as well as a Recipe folder, made using My Mind's Eye Nostalgia paper line. The album is especially delicious to use as a folder for Sweet recipes!

Vai precisar de:

- 2 placas rectangulares de cartão
- 2 placas escalopadas de cartão
- 2 placas em chaveta de cartão
- 1 placa em degrau de cartão
- 2 folhas de papel inteiras
- 4 peças de papel escalopadas
- 4 peças de papel em chaveta
- 2 peças de papel em escada
- Outras peças para decoração do bolo
- Títulos para divisórias
- Título “Doces”
- 2 argolas metálicas

You are going to need:

- 2 rectangular chipboard covers
- 2 scalloped chipboard covers
- 2 keyway chipboard covers
- 1 cover with a stair shape
- 2 whole scrapbook papers
- 4 scalloped pieces of paper
- 4 keyway pieces of paper
- 2 "stairs" pieces of paper
- Other pieces to decorate de cake
- Titles for the dividers
- Title for the album
- 2 book rings

Como construir o álbum

Comece por cortar as duas folhas inteiras ao meio, no sentido horizontal. De seguida, pegue numa peça de cartão rectangular e cole uma das metades de papel que acabou de cortar, conforme vê na imagem em cima. Utilize cola PVA para este efeito. Deixe a cola secar. Pegue depois na outra peça de cartão rectangular e repita este processo, como vê na imagem em baixo. Deixe secar novamente.

How to build the album
Begin by cutting the two whole scrapbook papers in half, horizontally. Afterwards, pick a piece of rectangular chipboard and glue one of the halves on it, as you can see on the image above. Use PVA glue for this and let it dry. Do the same thing with the other rectangular cover and another piece of paper.

Seguidamente vamos colar o papel já pré-cortado nas peças de cartão com os mesmos formatos. Vamos começar pela peça em escada. Cole o papel, de um lado e de outro do cartão de modo a que fique conforme se pode ver nas imagens em baixo.

Now it's time to glue the shaped paper to the shaped chipboard. Let's begin with the "stair" shaped chipboard and paper as you can see on the two images bellow.

 Agora as peças escalopadas. Now the scalloped pieces.

Pegue novamente na primeira peça que colamos, a peça rectangular e vamos cortar, com a ajuda de uma régua metálica e de um x-acto ou faca de corte, o excesso de papel . Cole depois, do outro lado do cartão, uma das metades de papel que ainda sobra, conforme. Repita este ponto para a outra peça rectangular, terminando por colar a folha de papel restante conforme se vê na imagem em baixo. Quando a cola secar, corte novamente o excesso de papel nestas duas peças.

Now let's get back to the first piece we glued, the recatngular piece and let's cut the excess paper. After that glue on the other side one of the remaining pieces of paper. Do the same thing with the other rectangular cover. Once all the glue dries, cut again the excess paper on these covers.

 Colamos também o papel nas peças em chaveta. Glue the paper on the keyway chipboard covers.

As sete peças de cartão estão agora todas forradas. Pegamos então nas peças de cartolina bristol e colamos o papel nelas, conforme se vê na imagem 1em cima. Se desejar escurecer as peças com os distress ink pads, deve fazê-lo agora.

The seven chipboard covers are now all lined with paper. Let's now cover the small chipboard pieces for the cake with the paper as you can see on the image above. If you want to ink the edges with distress ink pads, now is the time to do it.

Monte as 3 peças que formam o bolo, colando-as umas às outras, como vê na imagem em cima. Cole depois esta peça, bem como o pé do bolo, na peça de cartão em escada, como vê na imagem em baixo.

Mount the three pieces that make the cake on top of each other and glue them on the chipboard cover that has the "stair" shape. Don't forget to match the different pieces of the cake with the chipboard.

Usando almofadas 3D, cole as pequenas tiras no bolo, conforme imagem em cima. Aproveitando as sobras de papel das peças rectangulares, corte um rectângulo com 9x4,5 cm e usando esponjas 3D Cole o título “Doces” nesta peça.

Using 3D foam, glue the decorative pieces on the cake as you can see on the image above. Use paper leftovers to cut some a rectangular piece of paper for the title and attach it to the cover with 3D foam again. Glue the title on this piece.

Corte depois os títulos das divisórias Aproveitando novamente as sobras de papel, corte rectângulos com 9x3,5 cm e cole cada tema num rectângulo. Cole cada tema numa das divisórias, como pode ver na imagem em cima. Fure todas as peças com a ajuda de uma crop-a-dile, cinch ou furador e coloque as argolas fornecidas. Divirta-se depois a colocar as suas receitas favoritas neste delicioso mini álbum!

Cut the titles for the different dividers and back them using again paper leftovers. Glue each title on one of the covers and with the help of a crop-a-dile or cinch machine, make the holes for the rings. Have fun colecting all the different recipes into this Sweet mini album!

Sweet afternoon álbum

Olá Scrapbookers! Hoje é novamente dia de conhecerem o trabalho que a Carla Pimentel fez especialmente para a Tubo de Ensaio. Com os papéis Sweet Afternoon da Teresa Collins Designs, surgiu este delicioso mini álbum. Esperamos que gostem!

Hello Scrapbookers! Today it's time you got to know Carla's Pimentel designs for Tubo de Ensaio. With Teresa Collins designs papers from Sweet Afternoon, she made this delicious mini album. We hope you like it as much as we do!

Como fazer o álbum
Comece por forrar as capas de cartão no exterior e na contracapa com papéis cortados à medida e pinte os lados visíveis do cartão com tinta distress spun sugar. Cole uma tira com fitas de tecido e a flor na capa. Decore a parte superior com uma moldura, escreva os seus pensamentos e cole uma coroa da colecção “adorno” sobre a mesma.

How to make the album
Start by cutting your papers to match the size of the chipboard  covers and ink the edges with distress ink pad Spun sugar. With double sided tape, glue a piece of ribbon and the flowers to the cover. Decorate the top half with a frame and journal your thoughts into it. Glue a crown for decoration purposes to the top.

A primeira folha mede 14x21,5cm e está coberta por uma folha de acetato cortado com a mesma medida e decorado com Rub-Ons e pedras coloridas. Em ambas as folhas foram arredondados os bordos externos com a Crop A Dile.

The first page measures 14x21,5 cm and it is covered with an acetate piece of paper cut to measure and decorated with a rub-on and colored rhinestones. Both pages have rounded corners made using crop a dile.

Por trás da primeira folha de papel (foto abaixo) foi feito um bolso colado inferiormente e que está decorado com uma pequena renda e um dos recortes da colecção, que foi coberto com crackle accents. A etiqueta que está dentro do bolso é um rectângulo com 9x12cm arredondada nos 4 cantos.

Behind the first page (photo below) there is a pocket made by gluing on the bottom a piece of paper that was then decorated with a bit of lace and one of the decorative cuts from the line, covered afterwards with crackle accents. The tag inside it is a rectangle with 9x12 cm, with the 4 corners rounded.

A segunda folha mede mede 30x21,5cm. Foi dobrada a 13cm do exterior e este lado decorado com o “punch” da Marta Stewart. Foram aplicados alguns dos “die cuts” da colecção Sweet Afternoon e Everyday moments.

The second page measures 30x21,5 cm. It was folded 13 cm from the edge and that side was punched with a Martha Stewart edger punch. The decorations used are decorations from Sweet afternoon and Everyday moments.

 A terceira folha foi cortada com a forma de etiqueta, mede 12,5 por 19,5cm. O orifício está decorado com Rub-Ons em ambos os lados.

The third page is tag and it measures 12,5x19,5 cm. The hole at the top is decorated with rub-ons on both sides.

A quarta e quinta folhas foram cortadas a partir da mesma folha de papel, inicialmente com as medidas de 30x21,5cm. Esta foi dividida ao meio, obtendo-se duas folhas com 15x21,5cm. No lado maior ambas foram cortadas com o cortante On the edge file tab (656629) e foram decoradas com pedras e com um naperon branco coberto com uma flor recortada da coleção Everyday moments.

The next two pages were both cut from the same paper (30x21,5cm) that was divided in half, each one measuring 15x21,5 cm. On the bigger side they were cut using sizzix die On the edge, File tab (656629) and decortaed with rhinestones and a white doily, covered with a flower from Everyday Moments paper line.

A sexta folha mede 17x21,5cm. Na parte inferior foi criado um bolso com o cortante  On the edge Distressed doily (657496), decorado com um Rub-On. Na parte de cima foi aplicado um recorte feito com o próprio nome da colecção que se encontra em todas as folhas da mesma. A etiqueta mede 13x15cm, foi criada com dois papeis da colecção e foi decorada com tule.

The sixth page measures 17x21,5 cm. On the bottom there is a pocket made by using the On the edge die Distressed doily (657496), decorated with a rub-on. At the top the decoration was made by using a piece of paper with the name of the line that you can find on every piece of paper. The tag measures 13x15 cm and it was made from two papers of the line and decorated with ribbon.

A sétima folha é uma pequena bandeira com 14x9,5cm, decorada com Rub-ons e tinta distress spun sugar.

The next page is a small flag measuring 14x9,5 cm and decorated with rub-ons and distress ink Spun sugar.

A oitava folha mede 17,5x21,5cm. No exterior foi aplicada uma tira com 9x21,5cm, decorada num dos extremos com o punch e colada superiormente, inferiormente e externamente para fazer um bolso, com a abertura voltada para o interior do álbum. Está decorada com Rub-Ons e com umas tiras de papel em forma de bandeiras, presas com as “Sweet afternoon brads” (estas devem ser aplicadas antes de colar o bolso).

The eighth page measures 17,5x21,5 cm. On the outside there is a strip of paper, decorated with a punch on one end and glued at the top and bottom to create a pocket, with the opening left to the inside of the album. It is decorated with rub-ons and strips of paper turned into small flags, attached with brads (these most be applied before you glue the pocket).

A última página resulta do corte de uma folha de papel com o cortante da  Album, Scallop Rectangle #2 (656698)  e são os furos desta folha que vão servir de guia para a marcação dos furos das restantes folhas e da capa do álbum. Colocar as argolas e decorar o álbum a gosto.

The last page was made using Sizzix die Album, scallop rectangle #2 (656698) and the holes on this piece of paper will be te guides to make the holes on all the pages of the album as well as the covers. Place the rings and decorate as you like.

Ladies Diary box and mini-album

 A nova colecção da Graphic45 é de facto muito feminina! Por isso tínhamos mesmo de fazer um projecto digno de um toucador feminino! Este projecto é um dois em um, pois pode ser usado apenas como caixa mas escondido no seu interior está um delicado mini-álbum para guardar todos os segredos de uma senhora.....
Ponto de partida: uma moldura 25x25 cm de caixa alta, um bloco de folhas Ladies Diary de 12x12 (4500512) e glossy accents!

Graphic45 new line is in fact very feminine! So we decided we really had to make a project worthy of any ladies dresser! This project is a two in one, because it can be used just as a box but hidden inside of it you can find a delicate mini-album to keep all the secrets of a fair lady....
Starting point: a 25x25 cm frame, a 12" Ladies Diary paper pad (4500512) and glossy accents!

A tampa é composta por duas partes: uma base de cartão forrada a papel e o próprio vidro da moldura onde foi colada com glossy accents uma folha de papel. Antes de a colar, recortamos a linda silhueta de uma verdadeira senhora!

The lid has two different parts: a cardboard lined with paper and on top of it the glass from the frame where we glued with glossy accents a sheet of paper. Before that we cut this beautiful lady silhouette.

  

Detalhes da frente e do topo da caixa onde foram colocadas algumas flores para dar mais dimensão ao projecto. A frase na frente da caixa é sem sombra de dúvida uma forte afirmação!


Details from the front and the top of the box where we have placed some flowers to give more dimension to the project. Also the sentence on the front is a real statement!

Then we slide the cover and.....

Desenhamos um mini-álbum que fosse exactamente da medida do interior da moldura! Com capas de cartolina bristol e forrado a tela bege, este pequeno álbum não tem mais do que 14 cm mas não deixa por isso de ser verdadeiramente delicioso!

We designed a mini-album that was exactly the size of the inside of the frame. With covers made out of chipboard and covered in beige bookbinding cloth and with no more than 14 cm it is truly delicious!

A vista interior da caixa, quando se retira a tampa e o mini-album. Nenhum pormenor foi deixado ao acaso!

The view of the inside of the box, after you remove the lid and the mini-album. No detail was left aside!

  

Quando se abre a capa do álbum, o seu interior está recheado de pequenos bolsos, cuidadosamente recheados com bloquinhos, cartões de visita e de anotações.

When you open the cover of the album you will find that the inside is filled with small pockets, carefully filled with small notepads, personal cards and note jotters.
