Just Monumental Layout

Hi, hi, hoje demos as voltas aos posts no blog e trazemos um layout de uma das designers da Teresa Collins Designs, a Stacey Michaud. ESte layout usa a colecção Far & Away desta marca!

Hi, hi, we twisted the posts a little here on the blog and so we bring you a project by one of the design team members at Teresa Collins Designs, Stacey Michaud. She used Far & Away line to make this lovely layout!

Tamanho do Layout: 17x11 (8,5x11 dupla página) * Layout Size:  17X 11 (8.5X 11 double page)

1. "Comece por uma base neutra. Coloque uma tira das etiquetas, lado B, com 0,75" de largura no topo das duas páginas para lhes dar consistência".

1. "Start with a neutral base.  I used the Sports Edition 2 graph paper. Place a strip of the Labels, Side B sized at 0.75” in width along the top of both pages.  This adds consistency".

2. "Corte o mapa do Norte da América do papel dos mapas. Coloque-as no topo superior esquerdo do layout a cerca de 6,5 cm do lado esquerdo da página. Adicione os enamel dots ao local que pretende ou então deixe-o de fora".

2. "Cut the map of North America from the Map paper.  Place it along the top of the left hand side of the layout, about 2.5” from the left hand side of the page.  Add the enamel dot to the pertinent location you are recording or leave it off".

3. "Coloque os banners do chipboard sheet ao longo do lado esquerdo do mapa. Coloque a peça de chipboard que diz Remember no banner para lhe dar dimensão. Corte os notecards, lado B em dois rectângulos. Um com 7x2,5" para o lado esquerdo e um com 8,5x2,5. Coloque o mais pequeno na página a 2,75" do fundo e alinhada do lado direito. Coloque a peça de 8,5"x2,5" na página a 2,75" do fundo, passando de um lado para o outro."

3. "Layer the banners from the Chipboard sheet along the left hand side of the map.  Place the Remember chipboard piece on the tan banner to make it dimensional.
Cut the Notecards, Side B into two rectangles.  One sized 7 X 2.5” for the left hand side and one sized at 8.5 X 2.5”.  Place the one sized 7 X 2.5” on the page 2.75” from the bottom and lined up to the right hand side.  Place the one sized 8.5 X 2.5” on the page 2.75” from the bottom, spanning from side to side".

4. "Adicione a Collage, o lado B das tiras . Um com 7x0,5" para o lado esquerdo e para o outro lado um com 8,5x0,5". Coloque o que tem 7x0,5" na página ao longo do topo do papel notecard. Coloque o de tamanho 8,5x0,5" ao longo do papel notecards paper, espalhando ao longo da página. Repita com as tiras Ephemera usando as mesmas medidas e seguindo os meus passos que fez até agora".

4. "Add the Collage, Side B strips.   One sized 7 X 0.5” for the left hand side and one sized at 8.5 X 0.5”.  Place the one sized 7 X 0.5” on the page along the top of the dotted Notecards paper.  Place the one sized 8.5 X 0.5” on the along the top of the dotted Notecards paper, spanning across the page. Repeat with the Ephemera stripe using the same measurements and steps".

4. "Para terminar o lado esquerdo do layout, adicione o journaling card Destination do papel Notecards. Adira a 4" do topo e a 2,6" da esquerda. Adicione o chipboard Adventure na caixa vermelho directamente por baixo do título".

4. "To finish the left hand side of the layout, add the Destination journaling card from the Notecards paper.  Adhere it 4” from the top and 2.6 from the left.  Add the Adventure chipboard word in the red box directly under the Destination title".

5. "Coloque a sua foto com 5x3,25" no Journaling card, a cerca de 0,75 do lado esquerdo. Faça uma camada com a foto e a palavra You are Here cortada em caixa do papel de etiquetas. Coloque-o no topo, no lado direito da etiqueta. Adicione o chipboard redondo a dizer Journey na parte inferior direita da foto. Adicione o canto da fotografia ao fundo inferior esquerdo. Adicione a segunda foto com 2,5x3,5"."

5. "Place your photo sized at 5 X 3.25” on the journaling card, about 0.75 from the left hand side.  Layer the photo with the You are Here word box cut from the Labels paper.  It goes on the top, right corner of the photo.  Add the Journey chipboard circle to the lower right hand side of the photo.  Add the photo corner to the bottom, left. Add the second photo, sized 2.5 X 3.5”."

6. "Para terminar o lado direito da página dupla adicione 3 fotos com 2,5x3,5" cada uma, colocando-as na linha horizontal. Adicione o chipboard Vacation e Highlight banners por baixo da primeira foto. Corte a "artisan" shape em vermelho do papel Ephemera. Alinhe-o do lado direito de modo a que se sobreponha à última foto. Adicione um botão e dois enamel dots."

6. "To finish the right hand side of the double page, Add three photos sized at 2.5 X 3.5”, staggering them across the horizontal line.  Add the Vacation and Highlight chipboard banners under the first photo.  Hand cut the artisan shape in red from the Ephemera paper.  Line it up with the right hand side so it overlaps the last photo.  Add a button and two enamel dots."

7. "Coloque a bússola de chipboard a cerca de 2,5" do topo e a 0,25" da esquerda. Adicione um botão ao centro. Construa o seu título à direita da bússola e adicione algum Journaling".

7. "Place the chipboard compass about 2.5” from the top and 0.25” from the left.  Add a button to the center.  Build your title to the right of the compass and add journaling".

Washi tape layout by My Mind's Eye

Desta vez temos um fantástico layout feito pela designer da My Mind's Eye, a Amber Packer. Está fantástico e dá vontade de ir a correr fazer um igual e claro comprar todas estas fitas!

The new products from every brand are arriving any day now and the wonderful projects you can do with them too. This time we have a wonderful layout made by designer Amber Packer from My Mind's Eye. It's amazing and just makes you want to go out and buy these tapes and make a layout ourselves!

Vai precisar de * You are going to need:

• Pack fita vermelho e turquesa * Red and Turquoise Decorative Tape Pack
• Pack fita amarelo e cinza * Yellow & Grey Decorative Tape Pack
• Autocolantes * Collectable Remarkable "Smile" Layered Stickers
• Ataches * Collectable Remarkable "Day" Decorative Brads
• Botões * Collectable Remarkable "Day" Decorative Buttons
• Papel * Collectable Remarkable "Day" Daily Paper
• Enamel dots * Collectable Remarkable "Handsome" Enamel Dots
• 2 folhas cartolina branca 12x12 * 2 pieces of white 12 x 12 cardstock
• Juta branca * Jute twine
• Clip * Binder Clip

 Como fazer * Directions:

1. Divida uma das folhas brancas com 12x12 em 16 partes iguais, desenhando linhas com um lápis.

1. Divide one 12 x 12 paper into 16 pieces by lightly drawing lines with a pencil.

2. Começando com a fita verrmelha, crie um padrão em "chevron". Certifique-se que o ponto superior vai de encontro ao canto superior e vice-versa (ver foto).

2. Starting with red stripe tape, create chevron pattern. Make sure that the top edge meets the top corner and the bottom edge meets the bottom corner (see photo).

3. Com a ajuda de uma régua alinhada nas linhas a lápis corte a fita para que as pontas fiquem a direito.

3. Line up ruler along pencil line and rip. This will keep your edges straight.

4. Repita até todas as peças de fita vermelha estarem colocadas.

4. Repeat step until all red stripe tape pieces are in place.

5. Pegando agora na fita azul faça exactamente a mesma coisa, colocando-a ligeiramente acima da fita vermelha e criando em baixo dois pequenos "chevrons" azuis.

5. Repeat using blue quatrefoil tape applying just above red stripe tape and adding two small chevrons to bottom of page.

6. Apague com cuidado as linhas a lápis.

6. Gently erase pencil lines.

7. Corte uma peça de cartolina branca com 6 1/2"x8 1/2" para colocar a matificar a fotografia.

7. Cut a 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of white cardstock for photo mat.

8. Aplique a fita cinza no layout como se vê na imagem.

8. Apply grey chevron tape and adhere to layout as shown.

9. Corte um coração com cerca de 3" e cubra com fita vermelho com medalhões. Adira a fotografia centrando-a na cartolina branca.

9. Cut out a heart shape (approximately 3") and cover with red medallion tape. Adhere photo to center of mat.

10. Adicione o coração ao canto direito da foto. Corte a peça para journaling "post card do papel "daily paper". Corte três pequenas tiras do fundo desta mesma peça. Adicione depois aos layout. 

10. Add heart to bottom right corner of photo mat. Cut "post card" journaling spot from "Day" Daily paper. Cut three small strips from bottom of "post card" journaling spot. Add to layout as shown.

11. Corte a peça de journaling de chavetas do mesmo papel. Corte o "banner" today desta peça e cubra com a fita cinza com desenho quatro folhas. Adicione ao layout.
11. Cut "bracket" journaling spot from "Day" Daily paper. Cut "today" banner from bracket piece and cover with grey quatrefoil tape. Add to layout as shown.

12. Corte uma peça de cartolina branca com 2 1/4"x4 1/2" e dê-lha a forma de um banner. Cubra com as fitas azul com bolinhas brancas, cinza quatro folhas e vermelha com riscas como vê na imagem.

12. Cut a 2 1/4" x 4 1/2" piece of white cardstock and shape like a banner. Cover with blue polka dot grey quatrefoil and red stripe tape as shown.

13. Adicione o autocolante dimensional em forma de estrela assim como os enamel dots e cole ao layout. Corte uma peça de juta branca com 12" e dê nós nas duas extremidades para ficar com uma peça com 10".
13. Add star dimensional sticker and enamel dots as shown and adhere to layout. Cut a 12" piece of jute twine and tie knots in end to make twine 10".

14. Coloque vários pedaços de fita à volta da juta, dando-lhes diferentes formas de bandeirolas.
14. Wrap tape around a 12" piece of jute twine and cut into banner shapes.

15. Envolva o clip grande em fita azul com bolinhas brancas. Adicione a juta ao layout usando um atache e o clip forrado.
15. Wrap blue polka dot tape around binder clip. Add twine to layout using a brad and binder clip.

16. Complete o layout adicionando botões, o best day brad, o banner today, o autocolante smile, enamel dots e claro o seu próprio journaling! Divirta-se

16. Complete layout by adding button, "Best Day" brad, "today" banner, "Smile" dimensional sticker, enamel dot and journaling. Enjoy!

Far & Away

Pois é, Far & Away é uma das novas linhas da Teresa Collins Designs. E este layout foi feito pela Teresa para a recordar da sua visita a Portugal, em Abril passado! Aqui fica o layout mas sobretudo um pouco de uma das novas linhas que chegará a Portugal no final de Janeiro!

So Far & Away is one of Teresa Collins Designs new lines and this layout has been made by Teresa herself  to remind her of her trip to Portugal last april! Here is the layout but also a little of one of the brands new lines that will be here in the end of January!

Yupi, o fim de semana está mesmo à porta! E porque não aproveitá-lo para fazer um layout com uma fotografia das férias de verão, agora que os dias de calor começaram a desaparecer?
Para um layout fácil, rápido e giro, o ideal é utilizar os fabulosos "layered stickers" que a My Mind's Eye tem em conjunto com os papéis. Divirta-se e até segunda feira!

Yupi the weekend is almost here! And why not take advantage of it by doing a layout using one of your summer holidays photos, now that the warm days are drifting away?

The weekend is almost starting, Autumn begins tomorrow and so no better time like the present to do some lay--outs using the photographs taken at the beach or during your holiday.
