O interior da capa * The Inside of the Cover
Um dos painéis interiores tem uma dobra feita com cartolina bege simples que foi depois decorada. Corte uma peça com 12x24 cm, vinque-a a 9 cms e dobre-a. Cubra com papel da colecção de ambos os lados e coloque-a nos painéis laterais da capa.
One of the inside panels has a flip page made with plain cream cardstock and embellished.
Cut a piece 12 X 24 cms, score it at 9 cms and fold to create the hinge. Cover with paper from the collection on both sides and attach this to the cover’s side panels.
Mais tarde pode adicionar bolsos e etiquetas a estas página. Os bolsos terão mais espaço se os fizer com dobras, em vez de os colar directamente à página.
Later you can add pockets and tags to this page. The pockets have more room for tags if you make hinges for them as to just adhering the paper directly on the page
Para criar o bolso que vai suportar o diário dentro da capa, corte uma peça de cartolina bege com 7x28 cm e vinque a 1,5 cm de cada lado para fazer uma dobra. Cubra com papel e uma dobra. Esta peça vai ter bastante desgaste por isso se quiser aplique uma cama de multi medium para lhe dar mais resistência.
To create the pocket that will hold the diary in place inside the cover, cut a piece of cream cardstock 7 X 28 cms and score 1.5 cm on each end to make a hinge. Cover this with paper and a boarder. This piece will have to take some wear and tear so applying a coat or two of multi-medium will protect it. Do the same to a strip of paper. You can substitute this by a heavy, sturdy ribbon if you like
Para fazer o corpete * Making the corset
Adira o papel (do bloco de 8x8 pois o padrão das flores é mais pequeno e fica mais em proporção para o tamanho do corpete) a uma placa de cartolina Bristol e copie o padrão para o papel.
Adhere the paper ( from the 8X8 pad because the flowers are smaller and more in proportion to the corset size) to some Bristol board and copy the corset shape from the template.
Escureça o corpete com Old paper/bundled sage ink pads. Com uma pistola de cola quente adicione a fita, o laço e uma fiada de pérolas. Faça os furos com uma crop-a-dile e cubra esses buracos com ilhoses creme. Não se esqueça de medir quanto fio irá precisar e enrole as pontas com um pouco de fita cola para que estes não se desfaçam ao passar nos buracos.
Distress the corset with old paper and bundled sage ink pads. Using a hot glue gun add the ribbon, lace and string of pearls. Punch the holes with a crop-a-dile and cover these with cream eyelets. Measure how much ribbon you’ll need and roll the ends with ordinary tape so the ribbon will slip in the holes with ease.
Corte um rectângulo com 15x20 cms the papel às tiras e corte o topo e parte inferior com o cortante sizzix On the edge plaque & postage. Corte este rectângulo ao meio, escureça-o com antique linen e adira estas peças às laterais do painel.
Cut a rectangle about 15X 20cms of striped paper and cut the top and bottom with Tim Holtz On the Edge die (Sizzix On the Edge Die - Plaque & Postage). Cut in half and distress with antique linen ink pad and applicator. Adhere these to the side panels
O cabide foi feito utilizando arame que sobrou de umas flores que usei numa coroa. Já estava coberto com papel castanho mas pode sempre usar arame liso e cobri-lo assim mesmo. Dei cor a alguma fita e envolvi o arame com ela (não se esqueçam que o cabide está dividido em duas partes).
The hanger was made with wire that was left over from some flowers I used for a wreath. It was already covered with brown paper but you can use plain wire and cover it yourself. I colored some lace and wrapped it around the wire. (don’t forget that the hanger is divided into two parts).
O Diário * The Diary
O diário não fica especificamente colado à capa e como tal pode ser removido e substituído quando quiser. Este destina-se a colocar fotografias, moradas, pensamentos ou aquilo que mais lhe apetecer. Cada secção está dividida por separadores.
The diary isn’t permanently attached to the cover and so can be replaced if you use it as a yearbook or yearly diary. This one holds a place for photos, jounaling , addresses or whatever else you wish to put in it. Each section is separated by dividers
Para a capa do diário corte duas peças com 17,5x23,5 cm de cartolina bristol e cubra-o com um dos papéis da colecção. Eu usei o que tem o motivo de letra à mão na frente pois gastei todos os restantes!
For the diary cover, cut two pieces 17.5 X 23.5cms of thin chipboardor Bristol board and cover them with paper from the collection. I used the script design for the front and because I ran out of paper I used the outer covers from the 12X12 pad to cover the other one.
A parte de dentro da capa tem um bolso feito com um cortante do Tim Holtz (pocket envelope) Pintei a abertura com Crackle paint.
The inside of the front cover has a pocket made using a Tim Holtz die (Sizzix Movers & Shapers L Die - Pocket Envelope). I painted the opening flap with crackle paint
Para fazer as páginas procurei online por imagens deste período e descobri centenas delas! Seleccionei umas quantas e processe-as no word. Podem usar folhas de 120g. Eu cortei-as nos cantos e para facilitar aqui ficam os ficheiros prontos a serem impressos.
To make the pages I searched online for images from this period and got hundreds and hundreds of gorgeous pictures. I selected a few that were line drawn and copied them onto my word processor software. There’s a tool that allows you to alter the brightness and contrast of pictures. I reduced both of theseand altered the color of the lines on the images to look like a watermark and printed previously cut sheets with these images. Then I ran the same sheets through the printer again putting lines over this. (There’s another way to do this… by placing the image in the background and the lines in the foreground but I’m a bit dumb when it comes to computers).
The paper sheets were 120gr coloured photocopy paper cut 17 X 23cms. I trimmed the corners with a decorative punch.
A secção das fotografias é feita com bristol com 250 g de cores variadas em vez de papel. Um perfurador deu-lhe aquele toque elegante. A algumas páginas acrescentei fita (usando fita-cola dupla face). Quando a fita é trabalhada fica por vezes a transparecer um pouco de fita dupla. Nesses casos coloco pó de talco para resolver o problema!
The section for photos is made with thin (250grs) colored bristal boards instead of paper. An edge punch gave the pages such an elegant touch. To some of the pages I added lace with red-lined tape. Sometimes when the lace isn’t tightly woven the tape will show through and make the pages stick together. Rub a bit of baby powder over the lace after it’s been adhered to solve this
Três divisórias separam as diferentes secções do diário. Eu usei dois dos novos cortantes do Tim Holtz (vintage Typewriter, Vintage camera e Vintage telephone, todos Bigz) e um cortante antigo que tenho há anos. Cortei cada uma das formas 3 vezes. Primeiro a preto, depois a prateado ou dourado e por último com chipboard. Colei todas as peças umas às outras e adicionei crackle accents no topo da máquina de escrever e da máquina fotográfica. Para o telefone queria um ar mais brilhante por isso adicionei glossy accents.
Three dividers separate the sections of the diary. I used two of the new Tim Holtz dies (Sizzix Bigz Die - Vintage Typewriter + Sizzix Bigz Die - Vintage Telephone + Sizzix Bigz Die - Vintage Camera ) and an old die I’ve had for years to make the typewriter, telephone and camera. I cut each of these shapes three times. The first in black cardstock, the second in silver or gold cardstock and the third in chipboard. Glued all the pieces together and added crackle accents to the top layer of the typewriter and camera. I wanted a shiny look for the telephone and used glossy accent for that.
Eu queria que as letras se assemelhassem a uma antiga máquina de escrever. A Graphic45 tem um conjunto de carimbos perfeito para isso! Primeiro carimbei cada letra em cartolina creme e cortei-as com um punch de 3/4". Depois coloquei círculos pretos por trás ligeiramente maiores. Pode também usar os seus framelits da Sizzix para este efeito, caso não tenha perfuradores
I wanted the lettering to resemble the keys on an old typewritter. Graphic45 has a letterset that was just perfect. First I stamped each letter on cream cardstock and punched them out with a ¾ in punch. (Give this a bit of an aged look by lightly rubbing antique linen ink over the circles) Then they were backed by slightly larger circles punched with a 7/8 in punch. I checked my Framlits and Spellbinders dies and both sets have these two sizes so the punches can be substituted if you don’t have them.
Duas das divisórias têm bolsos no interior. Ao colocar dobras nos lados desses bolsos faz com que o papel deslize com muito mais facilidade.
Two of the dividers have pockets with photo mats in them. Putting hinges on the sides of these pockets make the mats slide in and out a lot easier once the photo is adhered to them
A última divisõria tem um relógio (Sizzix Bigz die- weathered clock) cortado ao inverso. As mãos do relógio foram cortadas com chipboard pintado de dourado com tinta acrílica. para dar um pouco de dimensão à capa, forrei os relógios com "foil tape" e cortei-os na Sizzix. Apliquei distress Antique linen e colei-os na página correspondente. Parece que quer os relógios quer as flores estão a saltar da página!
The last divider has a clock (Sizzix Bigz Die - Weathered Clock ) cut from the reverse side of this paper. The hands were cut from chipboard painted with gold acrylic paint. To add a bit of dimension to the page, I backed a few clocks with foil tape and cut them out, distressed them with antique linen and stuck them to the corresponding image on the page. The clocks and flowers look like they’re popping out of the page
Todos os pedacinhos de papel deste diário foram escurecidos com distress ink pads. Ao escurecer o limite das folhas parece que lhes damos mais relevo. Usei todos estes em baixo!
Every bit of paper in this album was distressed with ink. Inking the edges blends the paper when you’re using fussy cut images or paper from different sheets. I used Tea Dye, Antique Linen, Old paper and Tattered Rose throughout.
